Reflections

Reflections is a gathering place for faith, honesty, and a touch of holy humor. Here you’ll find short devotions for busy days, prayers that meet you in the mess, and musings on worship, saints, and the sacred rhythms of Episcopal life. Some moments are tender, some a little lighthearted, but all are grounded in the belief that God shows up — in our questions, our traditions, our joys, and even in our struggles. This space is for anyone who longs for connection with the Divine, whether you’re rooted in the Episcopal Church or just wandering in with curiosity

Life doesn’t always give us time for long, fancy prayers. Sometimes, all we have are a few minutes between obligations — a deep breath in the chaos. This space is for those moments. Here, you’ll find short reflections, heartfelt devotions, and honest prayers to ground you, encourage you, and gently remind you that God is never far. Whether you're celebrating joy or hanging on by a thread, there’s something here for you.

Ever find yourself silently side-eyeing something ridiculous and thinking, “What would Jesus say about this?” Yeah, me too. This section is for the real talk — the strange questions, the messy moments, the holy mischief — all those times life feels absurd and faith gets personal. No theological jargon, just authentic wonderings and a little spiritual sass. Come as you are, questions and all.

From incense and processions to familiar hymns and a whispered “Amen” — there’s something sacred about the rhythm of worship. In this space, I share what I love about the liturgy: the rich prayers, the music that stirs the soul, and the rituals that tie us to generations past. Whether you're a cradle Episcopalian or just liturgy-curious, here’s where we embrace the grace and grounding of worship together.

The saints weren’t perfect — just persistent in love, justice, and faith. Their stories are full of grit, grace, and God’s presence in everyday life. In this space, we’ll meet some of those saints (famous and forgotten alike), and reflect on how their lives can still light the way for ours.

We’ll also explore the rich variety of worship in the Episcopal Church — from Rite I with its “thee’s” and “thou’s”, to Rite II with its modern flair, the hush of midweek Eucharists, the beauty of Evensong, the hope of Healing Prayer, and those big, joyful feast days where the incense flows and the choir soars. Whether you love a quiet chapel or a full-blown high holy day, this is where we celebrate the sacred rhythms that draw us together.

Because in the Episcopal Church, there's a saint for everything — and a service to match.
